My friend Kendall is in dire straits people. She can't find an orchid planter! Of course I had to come to the rescue ;) Tirelessly searching day and night for a solution to her problem since she asked me for some suggestions a few days ago, I have come across several great options for everyone's own personal style.
This one (above), from Layla Grayce, might be my personal favorite. It is so simple and elegant, and several orchids could fit in it.

Simple and classic planter from Mitchell Gold+Bob Williams.
The combination of modern lines with an old fashioned finish on this planter from Wisteria is nice. It could go in a very sleek home with a clean, crisp feel, but it also has an antiqued stone look that could be used in conjunction with French Country style.

I am in love with these options from Jayson Home & Garden too! How cute are the teeny tiny green ones?! {Also available in a jet black and creamy white}.
Wood is a beautiful addition to any room. This is just a simple bowl from Frontgate for...wait for it... $9.99! Bargain.

Ok maybe it is impossible for me to pick a favorite because the two above from FCL Style are sooo pretty. The top is mucho dinero (upwards of $700) so mainly it's nice to look at online, but the bottom one is perfectly Shabby Chic and so cute AND just $29.99!

Silver. I love silver. LOVE. So how happy was I to come across the two options above? The top is from Orient Expressed, and the bottom is from Pottery Barn. The bottom would be *beautiful* with a few plants in it and moss coming over the edges a bit. It is definitely deep enough and would be so striking in the middle of a table! Ok I've convinced myself to go buy it now while it's still in stock. Brb....
.... {added to cart}...{continue to checkout}...{husband my back hurts and i am comfy and do not want to move off the sofa because i might die so will you get my wallet?}...
Just had another thought - how fun would it be to use a silver champagne/ice bucket as a pot?! Clever! That will be on my list to try as well. Here is a quick tip about watering orchids straight from Martha before I go:
Orchids generally need to be watered every four to seven days depending on the orchid, the home environment, and the time of year. Take your orchid to your kitchen sink and run tepid water through the potting mix until the water flows freely through the drainage holes. {FYI: I never use pots with drainage holes and my orchids last for months on end. I usually do 1/2 cup of water once a week}
GREAT post Sheridan!! I knew you were the one for this job! I am obsessed with #1 too! I think it's a must for my table! You are the best!
