I had a great outfit planned for my brother's poolside graduation party this weekend. My seersucker skirt from American Apparel, a simple white tee, cute wedges from London, my Wayfarers that I beyond adore and my favorite necklace. See:
Casual. Light. Fine if I got splashed. Then it was dinner time for Big Squish. Such an angel child. Never spits food at me or anything...until I am wearing a white shirt and feeding him spring vegetable puree...Let's just say my white tee was white no more...
So I had to change, but my favorite glittertastic jacket from a vintage store in Atlanta saved the day.
Tank Top - Top Shop, Shorts - J.Crew, Sandals - my new Miss Trish from Target!
As I mentioned above, the outfit was for a party for my little brother who just graduated college. Since my Mother's Day post was full of sappiness I won't go overboard on this one with how great of a brother he always is {he let me peroxide his hair in the summer, and only tried to break down my bedroom door with a golf club once...but in his defense I had just ripped out his hair, and he still loves me even though after 20 years he still has a scar on his wrist from my fingernails}, but I do want to share some of my favorite pictures of us. M, I know you have wanted to be somewhere else for all these years, but you will be glad you stuck with it. I am so proud of you for following your dream. I will miss you every day. Love you.
{Side note: Mom, why on earth did you make me wear those hideous shorts?!}

Teaching Big Squish how to drive.

It is gold, yes, and it was my wedding gift from my mother-in-law. It is my absolute favorite piece of jewelry and I wear it at least every other day!
