Store Obsession

So here's the thing - I looked up Byrd + Bleecker in the dictionary, and this is what it said:

Byrd + Bleecker [noun] - Awesomeness.

I'm serious. Look for yourself.

Ever since I came across Byrd + Bleecker, the fabulous new stationery store on Park Hill, I have been completely obsessed by its total awesomeness. Okay so maybe it's not that new, but as far as my own discoveries go, it is.

Nestled in among a row of little shops, Byrd + Bleecker stands out from the pack not only for its amazing-beyond-words stationery and invitations, but for its decorative accessories, design books and home accents, among other things. Libby Pettit, creative genius extraordinaire, is the brain child behind the fabulous store, and her vision, talent and true enthusiasm for her work are what gives Byrd + Bleecker its extra edge. I am allowed to build Libby up like this because she helped me design Big Squish's 1st birthday invitation {that I have received a gagillion and one compliments on} and I am also working with her on some logo work for my clothing line. {AND her prices are reasonable to boot!} Truuuuust me - she Rocks. With a capital R.

One of the best things? You can shop online for everything from stationery to books to furniture to home accents. Genius Libby, genius. Your amazing goodies available right at my fingertips! LOVE! I am currently digging the card candy tags. I mean, basically these are just awesome, not to mention hysterical. {Example: I want your bad romance. Badly. - Enough said. Buy some packets.}

I have to say though, her new line of letterpressed social stationery takes the cake. She partnered with international illustrator Izak Zenou {Henri Bendel, Laura Mercier} to create some of the most fabulous images I have ever seen on stationery, not only because of their uniqueness but because of their appropriateness for every woman, for any occasion.

360 West Magazine said this about Miss Libby's new line in their June issue:

[it] is for the thoroughly modern woman who knows the hallmark of a good upbringing is a thoughtful hand-written thank you note.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

From henceforth, I declare that you will be wasting your time if you go to any other store in Fort Worth for your stationery needs.
