How I Wore It :: Cape Cod

Some dear friends of ours got married in Cape Cod a couple weeks ago. Everything was lovely beyond belief. The ceremony itself was breathtaking; held at a family home of the groom, there were beautiful hydrangeas abound and we had a perfect view of the water as the happy couple said their vows. The groom also has ties to Hawaii so there were many elements of Hawaiian tradition incorporated into the ceremony which made the event extra special. Of course, we were on the Cape, so nautical elements were included in the details of the reception. The weather was outstanding to boot, and I wore a bright purple dress with stitching that gathered the fabric down the center, my favorite necklace from Biz (tied with my gold bike one), and colorful high beyond high heels in a great lavender, teal and minty green color combo...they're fab...

Dress - Prada, Necklace - Badgley Mischka, Shoes - Miu Miu {also from Biz. Am I lucky or what}, Sunglasses - Ray Ban

Mr. and Mrs! Wahoo!

All of the tables were assigned a different knot, with each knot tied at the table on the sign identifying it. Clever!

Sadly I couldn't have this {above} because of this {below}...

A happy trade :)

Love this photo. This is the groom's phone with an iCal alert saying "WEDDING 4:30"...were you worried you would forget?! On second thought, don't answer that... ;)

Love you guys! More outfits from the Cape tomorrow...
xoxo Happy Weekend xoxo

  4. My family and I really needed a time out from our work and a friend suggested we go to Cape Cod. When we arrived on Cape Cod, I was surprised that it was a serene place, but there were a lot of fun things to do on Cape Cod! We went sailing in Hyannis Harbor on a sailboat and then we went to Provincetown to watch whales do their thing. The experience was just plain awesome, we all feel energized when we got back to our house.
