So much to post, so little time!

This is how I have been going outside as of late. Hot, no? We have had too much snow and ice for our own good - really, a lot for Texas - over the past two weeks so it has been all me and no babysitters. There are so many things I want to share with you all and I just haven't had a second to sit down and type! Right now, however, the miracle of all miracles has happened: Big Squish is asleep in his crib and baby girl is asleep in hers. Hallelujah! Let me see how much I can type in the 46 seconds this peace and quiet will last for...

Ok so first thing's first: Pre-Fall collections have debuted and here is a small sampling of my favorite looks. There are probably a million more, but in all honesty I have only looked through a handful of collections because I have more important things to do like play trains with Squish :)

Chanel. Dying for those trousers. And I actually love her hair.

Mulberry! Send me that jacket stat!

Carolina Herrera. I don't think this is technically a wedding dress, but isn't it one of the most beautiful gowns you have ever seen? When Biz and I renew our vows in my dream fairy princess wedding under the Eiffel Tower, or perhaps in the gardens at Versailles, I will wear this. And the aisle will be made of cotton candy and scattered with glitter. No wait, diamonds. {Excuse my delusion. p.s. I fell asleep at a red light yesterday I'm so tired. Not. Cool.}

And last but not least, when I accept my Academy Award for Best Actress I shall be donning this snazzy Oscar de la Renta number. {Remember what I said about the delusion. Just run with it.}

Alrighty so that's all the fashion we have time for right now, but I do want to share some websites for those with kiddos. Do you guys subscribe to Stroller Traffic? It is by far my favorite of all favorite child-related email newsletters. I got one a few days ago entitled Generation Worry, and it included five fabulous websites - some I had heard of, some not - that I believe you will find extremely helpful:

{1} www.commonsensemedia.org - Read expert and parent reviews to find out details of inappropriate {scary} parts of movies, TV shows, books, games, music, websites and apps.
{2} www.kellymom.com - AMAZING site. Love this till the cows come home. A comprehensive list of all things breastfeeding, including some helpful tips about bottle feeding as well.
{3} www.cosmeticsdatabase.org - Rates skincare products on a 0-10 scale for hazards including chemicals, toxins and allergens. Who knew formaldehyde was in, like, everything?!
{4} www.thesoftlanding.com - Search for BPA-free baby products and supplies within categories ranging from toys to bibs to teethers.
{5} www.thedailygreen.com - Has a Dirty Dozen list of the really REALLY dirty fruits and veggies that for sure need washing.

And lastly...Valentine's Day is SOON! As Ernest Hemingway pointed out, there is delight and fun in discovering how you each feel. *sigh* Whether your style is witty or classic, you can put together a big or small surprise for that special someone. Just make sure you start planning today! Two things that I came across on one of my favorite sites {that I will post about soon..and by soon I mean hopefully sometime in 2011} www.taigan.com:

If my dogs were not shredders the size of bulldozers I would dress them in this.

These just look amazing and I would most definitely inhale them all in one sitting.

In other news, I made granola again but this time did so without spilling ten thousand seeds and nuts everywhere! Mom gold star. Also, Squish has decided he wants to pull out his bottom teeth whilst gagging himself...normal? Not normal? Anyone?? Ok I hear the critters making noise upstairs. Got to go! xoxo Sheridan
