I have been debating about whether or not to put together a Mother's Day Wish List for you all to peruse. Then I thought, why on earth would I do that when it wouldn't even compare to the one Mrs. Lilien is sure to draw up? Sure enough she came through, as she always does, and told me about several things I desperately NEED that I wasn't even aware of. The full post, What a Mrs. Mother needs, can be found here, {check it out immediately}, and below are three things she featured that I just cannot continue living without.
Patricia Urquiola chairHow fabulous as a vanity chair.
Unfortunately I might have to figure out a way to manage to continue breathing without these as they'll run me a cool $123k {yes that is a "k" as in three zeros}. Lame. Perhaps there will be a Tiffany for Target collaboration coming soon?
I actually had a great pre-Mother's Day getaway to California this past weekend {great when we were not in an airplane}, and it was so nice to see the beach! Here are a few pics:
The plane ride back.
This sleep lasted for literally 12 minutes. Photo taken at 1:00am in a holding pattern above DFW which was closed due to hail. And p.s. isn't he huuuuge for a 22 month old?!
All of us wearing our Rikshaw kurtas at the beach! LOVE. So comfy and breezy for a day by the water {or running around town for that matter} How cute are Munch's bloomers?!

Happy early Mother's Day to new mothers, old mothers, grandmothers, soon-to-be mothers and every mother in between.

And then the STRANGEST thing happened. These Asian tourists came up - spoke zero English - and were obsessed with Squish and Munch. Holding. Kissing. Picture taking craziness! It was high-sterical and my mom and I couldn't stop laughing. Btw my mom is wearing a Sheridan French Claire Dress - thanks for the advertising Mom :)

ReplyDeleteAnd M., the Rikshaw kurta is an XS. There is a nice sizing chart on their website I believe. Thanks for the compliment!

Been meaning to ask...where did you find that version of the Sark quote????? I LOVE it (and your blog :)
ReplyDeleteSweet post. Seeing your baby girl swaddled brings back memories. I remember when our daughter was that age she had to be swaddled tightly or she would wake up crying. We had to re-swaddle her many times a night.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Mother's Day!
Heather
Jorourke - which quote are you speaking of?? Let me know and I will try to answer! xoxo
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day! Adorable photos of you and your precious babies!
ReplyDeleteSorry for the delay, husband is outta town for the week and like you, I've got 2 under 2! I have loved the colorful version of the Sark quote you have pictured on the right side of the blog under the words 'all you need to know' since the first day I found your blog - would love to know where you found that version...all the ones I've seen are a bit too cutsie 80'sish for me. Thanks!!!!
ReplyDeleteOhh that one! I just typed "How To Really Love A Child" into Google and found loads of images where it was written out like that!
