Our sweet little squish is officially a big boy squish and I am crying myself to sleep at how fast the time has gone. Everyone tells you the time flies by when you have children, but the actual capacity to grasp what this means has no chance of sinking in until you are living it. It is so bittersweet to see him grow up; I love watching him discover new things, learn new words, really start to understand the world around him...but my heart aches at the fact that saying, "Hold you!" when he wants to be picked up is starting to leave his vocabulary, that he no longer needs my help as much as he used to, and that my sweet eight pound bundle of joy is now 33 pounds and 37 inches tall. Where did my baby go?

ALSO! For those of you in the Fort Worth area I have a new CUPCAKE discovery!! Red Jett Sweets, my friends, is about to take over the cupcake market around these parts. They. Are. SOGOOD. Christina made these awesome ones for Squish's party - Snickerdoodle flavored HELLO - and everyone was raving about them with each bite they took. Will Travel.} Cutting edge for little ol' Fort Worth I tell ya what! They really were spectacular which is saying something for how beautifully crafted the designs were. I feel like often cupcakes are pretty but don't taste great or vice versa which was certainly not even remotely the case with these! I can't wait for Little Miss Munch to turn 1 {yes I can} so I can order some more. Wait what am I talking about my bday is in September YESSSSS!!! Christina do you do neon ikat cupcakes????

He is just adorable! Congrats. My daughter turned two in May and I agree it is totally zooming right by...she says, "Hold you!" which melts my heart, too.

Aw, your adorable lil man just turned too..how bittersweet...my lil guy turns two this fall and I CANNOT believe how fast the time has gone by.
ReplyDeleteI am laughing because I often say the same thing...i wish I could get that excited when I saw....(usually its a new puzzle...he is addicted to those Melissa and Doug puzzles) ..it is just too darn cute for words.
