Blue Chickadee :: Hand-Painted Goods

Ok so this was another item on my To Blog list that I have been meaning to write about for about a decade now. I was in the market for some precious Easter bloomers for Miss Munch and came across a fabulous blog/store: Blue Chickadee. I originally discovered her on Etsy {don't you feel like you just won the lottery when you come across a fantastic store on Etsy?! I do!!} though she has a shop integrated into her blog as well, found here. Her stuff is simple yet outstanding! I had her do a custom pair of adorable bunny bloomers and have been so happy with them. I originally thought the little Miss would only wear them around Easter, but she is in them all the time! Here is a pic:

{can I please eat those thighs for Thanksgiving}

THEN I was beyond flattered when she told me that she had named one of her paintings after moi!

"Sheridan's Neon Pink Lips"

The icing on the cake is that she is a mommy of two little boys that makes time for her painting projects in between naps, carpool and practices. It makes all of her items even more appealing if you ask me; you know she does this because she really loves it, and her heart is in every piece. Here are a selection of my favorite items...

I NEED some of those Chevron pillows in pink! Or maybe orange... Or maybe that gold and black would be ideal for our bedroom...once I get those bone-inlay chests. Too many good choices! Adding to my wish list right now.

 Maybe the cutest baby shower gifts ever????
Adorable to the max + reasonable prices = YES.

Perfect for the beach! Imagine the cuteness with your baby's name on them as well.
Yes, she does custom creations!

Serious heartsies.

More good news: I figured out how to upload and edit videos, so the Fishtail Braid How To is coming Monday! Happy weekend!!

  1. I love it! I also love it when I find an artist on etsy that I adore! Back when I got married, I ordered my jewelry from an artist on Etsy - when I got the jewelry in the mail and her business card, I realized she lived less than 2 miles from me in Seattle!!! Amazing! And she was a Mommy too. Love supporting the Mommy business owners. Have a great weekend Sheridan!

  2. Her stuff is great! Saw it in Charleston in the spring and have a client in NYC who commissioned her to do a piece of artwork to match some bedding we designed!

Way Way is a friend of mine and told me about your blog and that you mentioned Blue Chickadee...I am an interior designer in Charleston and she actually made those pillows for my shop (that pic is my sofa!). Anyway, I have been reading your blog and enjoying it! Glad she introduced me to you! Best, Sidney
