I have slowly gotten more and more into jewelry over the past years {Miu Miu's lovely creations have a lot to do with that!} and I have come across a lot of fun finds I wanted to share with you all. This also ties in with my last issue as Fashion Editor at Fort Worth, Texas Magazine - sad day, but I just have too much on my plate and had to part ways with the wonderful staff there.

I sat down with Merrick Bean of Merrick Jewels for the October issue and I was SO excited to finally do an official interview with her. She is from Fort Worth and went to CDS, and has totally taken the jewelry world by storm here! I used her creations for my Spring 2011 lookbook shoot and they hit it out of the park. Check out the full interview here {page 46} where I asked her about her life, her style and, of course, Beyonce. She is just the sweetest ever, and make sure to take a look at her website for just a handful of her gorgeous designs. My favorites are the ones with the super huge heavy stones on them, like the beautiful grey toned one above! I have seen this on one of my friends in person in a gorgeous milky green shade and it is AMAZING x a million.

I also came across a site that will cause hours of distraction time {since we all have so much spare time on our hands} where you can create your own jewelry and play play play around with different metal and stone combos to your heart's content: Sheyna Jewelry. The sweet girls there gifted me with a lovely pair of earrings that I got to create myself and they arrived just this week - I have been wearing them non-stop!! I went with green onyx stone drops on simple gold hoops. They go with everything! The best part about Sheyna is that you can really tailor your design to your price range - you can truly spend anywhere from $5 to $5000. There is no limit to your creativity!

Now get ready for this one: Sara of Noble House Designs has some neon in store for us! Check our her etsy shop here and prepare to die. I want one of, oh, everything! My favorite has to be this piece, called Neon Vintage, and I don't care if it would poke Munchkin's eye out - she has two, after all, so it would be a fair sacrifice for this beauty. The agate earrings are knockout too.
My favorite thing about all of these designers is that you will walk away with a truly individual piece. What could be better than a perfect expression of your own style?? Have fun shopping!

I love the first necklace!

these are fabulous! Thanks for sharing. If you are recycling some of last years pieces or going super simple - these will add some new spunk and style for sure. My fave - neon and spikes. :)
