If someone asked me what's the one color I could live without, I'd probably say purple. I'm not sure why though; I am typically drawn towards warmer colors like orange and pink, but after seeing these pictures, I feel like I should consider it as an accent color more often! I love that it can be very soft and subtle or extremely bold. Do you decorate with purple or tend to steer clear?

ReplyDeleteI tend to steer clear of it as well! Purple is just not a fav color of mine...but I agree...those images make it look really great! I may have to reconsider as well!
ReplyDeletePurple is one of my favorite colors to wear and decorate with (in fact, I just did a post on purple a few days ago!) It's such a rich, complex color. Love all those images!

ReplyDeleteI am laughing. I grew up in a home with a mother who's absolute favorite color was purple....and, not just purple...EVERY shade of purple! Our home was smeared in eggplant, dark purple, light purple, lavender, lilac, etc. It has taken me 42 years to even begin to want anything to do with that color...however, I am beginning to dig magenta and berry and your pics above are divine, so perhaps I should reconsider!

ReplyDeletehow appropriate - a girlfriend of mine is having a GNO and the theme is purple (everyone is expected to dress in purple). initially, i was not to hip on the idea and dreaded shelling out money for a purple dress, but i started a purple pinterest board to get inspired. and now it seems that purple is popping up everywhere. love your images, some of these i have as inspirational images from magazines. the second image is one of my all time favorites. i hadn't realized that there was a purple hue in it.
